Estimated data on livestock production in 2020 were obtained

National Scientific Center “Institute of Agrarian Economics” has shared information on the livestock situation in 2020.

According to the study, the production of poultry products will increase: to 2095,2 thousand tons of poultry (by 8,7% compared to the previous year) and to 17 billion eggs (by 3,1% compared to 2019). As a result, livestock production will increase by 0,6% this year compared to 2019 (0,4% last year).

However, the production of other livestock products will decrease this year: by 3,5% of milk, by 4,5% of cattle, by 1,4% of pigs, by 3,9% of rabbits, and by 9, 2% of horses. The largest decrease will be in wool production (up to 9,8%), sheep and goats (up to 3%).
