Reduced fuel price for farmers in Kharkiv region

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) initiated the special meeting at which representatives of the main oil-trading companies of Kharkiv region met, says SSU press center chief Vladislav Abdullah on his personal Facebook page.

The main topic of the meeting was the issue of food security in Kharkiv region. At the meeting, the SSU suggested to the management of oil-trading enterprises to consider the proposal of farmers for a more loyal mechanism for calculating the cost of fuel and lubricants.

The result of the meeting was a contract for the supply of the necessary materials to the farmers at a fair value and with a delayed payment until the harvest. Other sides of such cooperation were also discussed.

“Today, when the whole world is confronted with COVID-19, which has become the key to the challenge of the socio-economic crisis, the agricultural sector first needs support for the sowing campaign. I will say without exaggeration — it is a question not only of agrarians, but also of security, stability and socio-economic situation of the country as a whole. And now I will say "Thank you" to the businessmen for their responsible civic position",— Roman Dudin, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Administration of the SSU, said.
